1. Include (with care) an exit redirect from the first offer to ensure you get another chance of converting the visitor to a buyer.
   
2. It is quite possible to just use the product being promoted in an upsell as the one promoted as the downsell as well. This is done to ensure the visitor gets to see that offer, no matter if they purchased or rejected the previous offer.
   
3. It is always a good idea to include a recurring income product with a low-price/free trial in your funnels.
