Module #05 – Creating Your Product

Module Summary Notes

  1. Use any experience, knowledge, and skills you currently have.
  2. Use PLR – There are various sources of PLR material, many will provide material that has been created specifically to sell as PLR and is of very poor quality (Don’t be sucked in by fancy graphics or sales pages)

A top tip here is to look for marketers offering PLR on material that they have used or sold themselves. This will help identify resources of suitable quality.
  3. Decide on a format – Paul speaks about how his favourite format is video, I personally tend to create products in PDF form. I also know certain marketers who deal in just audio. So don’t be frightened to use the format you feel most comfortable with.
  4. Decide on a domain name – Although a top level domain is best, don’t think you always need to get a new domain for each product you create. I will tend to get a new domain for a major product, but also use subdomains for smaller products.

As an example my AR Mail Genie (done for you monthly emails) has its own domain: www.armailgenie.com

However I have one main domain for my KISS range of products, with each product having it’s own page on the site, e.g. www.kiss.education/product-name

Recommended Tools

Screen Recording

As the training suggests, good screen recording software is essential.

Paul’s suggestion is Camtasia (https://www.techsmith.com/video-editor.html)

I personally use ScreenCast-o-Matic (https://screencast-o-matic.com/)

Office Applications

Paul mentioned OpenOffice as one free option: https://www.openoffice.org/

Another popular online option is Google’s suite of office applications: https://www.google.co.uk/docs/about/
